Roope Rainisto from Helsinki, Finland. Roope is a creator, artist, consultant, and screenwriter with a passion for storytelling. Roope’s AI-Assisted work pursues timeless themes like transcendence, rebirth, interconnectivity, simulated reality, and simulations.
Roope explores the boundaries between what is real and what is virtual, what is natural and what is artificial. He pushes the capabilities of AI solutions to their limits, harnessing and combining complex technological solutions in disruptive ways. He is exploring how generative AI will revolutionize and democratize storytelling, and what it will mean to current creative industries.
Roope is a web/NFT artist. His NFT collections “Life In West America” and “Reworld” rank as some of the world’s most valuable AI art NFT collections of all time.
Previous to his current art career, Roope was one of the founders and the Chief Design Officer for Varjo (www.varjo.com). Varjo makes the highest-immersion virtual and mixed reality products and services for advanced VR and MR users.
Previous to Varjo, Roope spent over 20 years working as an user experience designer, leading and creating for a wide range of devices and services. During his time working for Nokia and Microsoft, Roope became an inventor in over 50 published patents or patent applications on various user experience innovations.
